Job Type: Full-time
Location: Metro Vancouver
Pay: $35 per hour
Schedule: Primarily overnight shifts, including some weekends (must be available on weekends if needed)

About the Position
TCS Exhaust is looking for a dependable and hardworking Technician Assistant to join our commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning team.
This is a hands-on position involving the cleaning of commercial kitchen exhaust hoods, filters, ductwork and rooftop exhaust fans. Most services are completed overnight when restaurants and commercial kitchens are closed.
The work can be physically demanding and greasy and may be performed at heights. The successful applicant must be comfortable climbing ladders, working on rooftops and following detailed safety procedures. Training will be provided to candidates who demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist with cleaning commercial kitchen exhaust hoods, filters, ductwork and rooftop fans
- Set up pressure washers, tools, hoses, protective coverings and safety equipment
- Protect kitchen equipment and surrounding areas before cleaning begins
- Apply commercial degreasers and operate specialized cleaning equipment
- Safely climb ladders and access rooftop exhaust systems
- Assist with equipment inspections and report any visible damage or deficiencies
- Take clear before-and-after photographs
- Clean and organize the work area after each service
- Load, unload and maintain tools and equipment
- Follow company procedures and all workplace safety requirements
- Communicate professionally with team members and clients
Requirements
- Available to work overnight shifts and must be available on weekends if needed
- Must have a valid driver’s licence
- Must have a car / reliable personal vehicle
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working for extended periods
- Comfortable working on ladders, rooftops and in greasy commercial kitchens
- Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Commercial cleaning, pressure-washing or kitchen exhaust cleaning experience is an asset, but training can be provided
- Ability to communicate in English and understand safety instructions and work documentation
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
