Senior Business Analyst

Title: SR Business Analyst

Term: September 2026 - September 2027

Location: Remote

Clearance: Must be eligible for Level 1 Canadian Security Clearance. (You must be living in Canada at least 5 years)

The Senior Business Analyst will work with business stakeholders, Product Owners, developers, testers and vendors to improve insurance and financial systems, reporting and operational processes.

Key responsibilities:

• Gather, document and validate business and system requirements.
• Create user stories and acceptance criteria in Azure DevOps.
• Act as the liaison between business and technical teams.
• Facilitate requirement, solution-design and stakeholder-alignment sessions.
• Analyze insurance data, financial reporting and transaction issues.
• Work with development teams on solutions, root-cause analysis, bugs and problem tickets.
• Coordinate vendor issue resolution and system-upgrade testing.
• Support UAT, functional troubleshooting and defect resolution.
• Coordinate deployment documentation and approvals.
• Support strategic planning, roadmaps, OKRs and continuous improvement.
• Promote Agile and business-analysis best practices.

Required skills:

• Senior business-analysis experience within insurance services or investment management.
• Knowledge of insurance systems, risk models and financial reporting.
• Experience with Agile delivery and cross-functional technology teams.
• Strong requirements gathering, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience supporting testing, UAT and production troubleshooting.
