Chemistry Sales Specialist Are you a Chemistry Sales Specialist looking for a new challenge or a customer facing medicinal/process chemist looking to move into direct sales? Our client is looking for an ambitious individual to join their team as a Chemistry Sales Specialist. This is a highly technical position and they are looking for an individual with hands‑on experience in an organic/medicinal chemistry based lab.
Their Chemistry Sales Specialist should be at least degree qualified (although higher qualifications would be desirable). Territory: North of England and Scotland (North UK) Salary: Attractive plus car, home office and attractive bonus. Working Conditions: Working from a home office and reporting to the Head of Sales, the successful candidate will take on a mature and high value territory and will lead the sales process direct with the customer.
Requirements: Excellent understanding of organic and process chemistry with hands‑on lab experience using associated instrumentation. Well connected within the Organic Chemistry sector in the North of England and Scotland, using contacts to network opportunities. Previous Capital Instrument/CapEx sales experience and understanding of the sales cycle associated with scientific product sales within academia and the private sector.
Highly motivated, dynamic, with an excellent eye for detail, able to spot, develop and convert sales using a range of techniques. Ability to demonstrate credibility within the Organic and Process Chemistry sector and support technical enquiries from customers to provide consultative advice. Comfortable with ~3 days/week on the road, occasional overnight stays, full UK driving licence essential.
Responsibilities: Lead the sales process directly with customers, convert sales in a field‑based role covering a large territory, provide consultative advice on instrumentation and consumables, and manage the entire sales cycle.
