About the role
\n This is a hands-on leadership role, balancing technical input with team and project oversight. You’ll be guiding civil design and delivery across a range of infrastructure projects while staying close to the detail where it matters.

\n

Day to day, you’ll be:

\n

\n
• Leading and mentoring engineers and designers, supporting their growth and maintaining strong technical standards
\n
• Overseeing project delivery from scoping through to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met
\n
• Providing senior technical input and signing off on designs
\n
• Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
\n
• Coordinating internal and external resources to keep projects moving
\n
• Identifying risks early and managing variations before they become issues
\n

You’ll also play a part in building client relationships and contributing to new work opportunities as the Brisbane team continues to grow.

What we’re looking for\n

We’re looking for someone who brings both credibility and practical leadership.

\n

Must have:

\n

\n
• Significant experience in civil engineering, including time in a senior or leadership role
\n
• Strong background in urban development projects
\n
• Confidence managing projects, clients and multidisciplinary teams
\n
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and professional accreditations
\n
• Solid understanding of relevant standards, design practices and local regulatory requirements
\n

\n

Nice to have:

\n

\n
• Experience in the local Queensland market
\n
• RPEQ
\n
• Familiarity with tools such as 12D, AutoCAD, or civil design software
\n
• Exposure to civil infrastructure and transport projects an advantage but not critical
\n

\n

Just as important as your technical background is your ability to lead by example, communicate clearly, and stay organised when managing multiple priorities.
