Bid Manager
WAISL Limited
Job Description
As a Bid Manager in the airport domain, you will drive and lead high-value, complex bid initiatives across the airport IT ecosystem. You will take full ownership of the end-to-end bid lifecycle—from opportunity qualification and strategy development to proposal submission—while coordinating with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies and time zones. In this strategic role, you will craft compelling, customer-centric proposals that clearly articulate our capabilities in airport systems integration, including AODB, CUPPS/CUSS, BHS, and APOC/AOCC.
You will translate complex technical solutions into impactful business narratives, aligning with airport stakeholders’ operational, regulatory, and digital transformation goals. You will play a key role in positioning our organization as a trusted partner by developing winning strategies, ensuring compliance with tender requirements, and delivering high-quality, competitive proposals that resonate with decision-makers in the aviation sector. Responsibilities Review RFPs, RFQs, EOIs, and concession/tender documents specific to airport programs to understand scope, compliance requirements, evaluation criteria, and key win themes.
Collaborate with Sales, Airport Operations SMEs, Engineering, Product, and Executive Leadership to qualify opportunities based on strategic fit, regulatory alignment, delivery capability, risk, and ROI. Define bid strategies aligned to airport digital transformation priorities (e.g., passenger experience, operational efficiency, A-CDM, sustainability), identify differentiators, and drive go/no-go decisions. Lead end-to-end bid planning and governance—developing detailed schedules, defining workstreams, assigning ownership, and ensuring adherence to submission timelines.
Coordinate development of integrated solutions across airport systems such as AODB, CUPPS/CUSS, BHS, FIDS, A-CDM, APOC/AOCC, security systems, and airside/landside integrations. Consolidate inputs for technical, commercial, legal, and financial proposals, including pricing strategies, SLAs, and lifecycle cost models. Develop compelling executive summaries, technical approaches, and value propositions tailored to airport operators, regulators, and stakeholders.
Translate complex airport system integrations and ICT architectures into clear, outcome-driven narratives focused on efficiency, safety, and passenger experience. Engage directly with clients (airport authorities, operators, or consultants) during bid stages—managing RFIs, clarifications, and participation in bidder conferences or technical workshops. Coordinate with consortium partners, OEMs, and subcontractors (e.g., BHS providers, system integrators, OEMs) to ensure cohesive and compliant joint submissions.
Manage cross-functional, multi-geography teams to deliver high-quality proposals under tight deadlines and complex stakeholder environments. Build and maintain a centralized knowledge repository including airport-specific case studies, solution templates, CVs, compliance matrices, and reusable bid content. Prepare and deliver high-impact presentations, solution walkthroughs, and defense decks for internal leadership and external stakeholders, including airport authorities and consultants.
Demonstrate strong domain expertise in airport bidding, including experience with large-scale, consortium-based international tenders and PPP models. Exhibit strong technical acumen with the ability to interpret system architectures, ICT specifications, data integration flows, and engineering designs within the airport ecosystem. Qualifications MBA with a bachelor’s degree in technology (Computer Science / IT / Engineering). 7+ years of experience in bid/proposal management for large-scale airport or aviation system integration projects.
Strong domain knowledge of airport systems such as AODB, CUPPS/CUSS, BHS, APOC/AOCC, FIDS, A-CDM. Proven ability to develop winning proposals by translating complex technical solutions into clear, client-focused narratives. Experience in international and consortium-based bidding environments.
Strong understanding of compliance-driven tenders and procurement processes. Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional, multi-geography teams under tight deadlines. Excellent communication and proposal writing skills, including executive summaries and value propositions.
Experience in commercial aspects such as pricing, cost estimation, and bid documentation. Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, and bid/project management tools.
