Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and target-driven Tele-counsellor to join our Admissions team. The role involves counselling prospective students and parents over phone, email, and chat — guiding them through our programs, addressing queries, and converting leads into successful enrollments.

Key Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to prospective students/leads generated through marketing campaigns, website inquiries, and referrals
• Counsel students and parents on suitable programs based on their interests, career goals, and eligibility
• Handle inbound queries via phone, email, and chat promptly and professionally
• Explain course structure, fee details, eligibility criteria, admission process, and scholarships
• Follow up consistently with warm leads to drive conversions and achieve monthly admission targets
• Maintain accurate records of interactions, lead status, and follow-ups in the CRM
• Coordinate with the campus/admissions team for campus visits, document verification, and enrollment formalities
• Address objections and concerns to build trust and confidence in the university's offerings
• Meet daily/weekly call and conversion targets set by the team lead
• Stay updated on all program details, fee structures, and policy changes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline (preferred: Business, Communications, or related field)
• 1–5 years of experience in telecounselling, telesales, inside sales, or admissions counselling (freshers with strong communication skills may also apply)
• Excellent verbal communication skills in English and Hindi/regional language
• Strong persuasion, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Target-oriented mindset with the ability to work under pressure
• Proficiency in using CRM tools, MS Office, and basic computer applications
• Patience and empathy while handling student and parent queries

Preferred Attributes

• Prior experience in the education/EdTech sector
• Familiarity with higher education admission cycles
• Positive attitude and resilience to handle rejection during cold calling
