Horizon House, Inc. is a nationally recognized provider of services to adults with support needs due to developmental disabilities, behavioral health issues, and substance abuse. Horizon House is Pennsylvania’s oldest psychiatric rehabilitation agency. Since 1952, we have been dedicated to helping people with mental illness, drug and alcohol addictions, developmental/intellectual disabilities, and homelessness to stabilize their lives and to help them live as independently as possible in the community.
With over 100 locations throughout South and North Eastern Pennsylvania and the state of Delaware, Horizon House provides services to a diverse population, focusing on individual strength and choice. We are seeking a qualified Administrative Coordinator to support our agency.
Some of the duties are:
· To provide confidential administrative/clerical support and coordinate general office functions for the Organizational Quality, Compliance, and Investigation Departments..
· To ensure that the Agency policies and procedures remain current and conform to all applicable guidelines and regulations. Facilitate the overall approval process.
. To coordinate the Certified Investigator Process for Scheduling and Recertification.

Assisting with the investigation, disseminating the investigations, and incident reports.
The successful candidate will have the following
- A.A. degree, preferred and at least 3-4 years of general administrative experience; or any combination of experience, education or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill, and ability required.
- Prior experience in the Human Services field, preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work independently; detail oriented; highly organized.
- Ability to exercise discretion with highly confidential information.
- Ability to assist workgroups and be a member of a team.
- Ability to summarize data, information and to write reports.
- Prior experience with developing and writing Policy & Procedures preferred.
- Excellent computer skills. Knowledge of Adobe, Acrobat Professional, and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
- Ability to type 50 wpm.
Scope:
- Requires sitting for long periods of time.
- Frequent talking and listening.
- Light lifting and/or carrying not to exceed 25 lbs.
- Very good manual dexterity.
