Job Description
Location: Bella Vista. Work arrangements: Full time permanent, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm. Salary: $70-100k + super (depending on experience).

My client is a growing residential home builder established in 2015, specialising in quality project homes across North West Sydney. Operating with a small, experienced team, they pride themselves on delivering exceptional customer service, quality workmanship and building lasting relationships with clients.

The Role
This is a broad, hands-on role responsible for managing the day-to-day finance function while supporting the administration of the business.
Reporting directly to the Director, you will take ownership of the accounts function from transaction processing through to trial balance, while preparing financial reports and supporting the wider business across office administration. You will work closely with the construction, estimating and pre-construction teams to ensure the business operates efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting
- Manage the accounts system using Xero
- Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Complete bookkeeping through to trial balance
- Prepare balance sheets, general ledgers and P&L statements
- Assist with budgets and forecasts
- Assist with BAS and tax preparation
- Liaise with external accountants and prepare financial information as required
- Maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations
Office Administration & Business Support
- Provide day-to-day office administration support
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to general enquiries
- Coordinate and liaise with the estimating, pre-construction and construction teams
- Prepare reports and liaise with the management team
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the office
About You
- Minimum 3-10 years' experience in an Accounts, Bookkeeping or Finance role
- Previous experience working for a residential home builder is essential
- Strong knowledge of Xero
- Experience managing the accounts function through to trial balance
- Ability to prepare balance sheets, general ledgers, profit & loss statements, budgets and forecasts
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and bookkeeping
- Confident working autonomously within a small team
- Proactive, adaptable and willing to contribute across multiple areas of the business
