About The Position
- Department: Finance (FIN)
- Location: 800 Kipling Avenue, Toronto, ON - On‑site
- Discipline(s) Required: Bachelor of Accounting, Commerce or Business Administration, Finance or Economics
- Term Length: 8 months
- Year of Study: 3rd or 4th year preferred
- Salary: The hourly rate for this position is $20.78-$25.67 per hour. Please note, the salary information provided is intended to be used as a guideline. Final rate offered will vary upon candidate’s prior co‑op/work experience, years of study completed, relevant skills, as well as internal equity considerations.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Utilize SAP/S4 HANA for a wide variety of tasks including monthly downloads
- Validate Canadian and international subsidiaries financial statement information to monthly reporting packages for management. Data to be extracted from SAP/S4 HANA
- Post journal entries as necessary in SAP/S4 HANA
- Help maintain the accuracy and integrity of the forecast files on a department, company, and consolidated level
- Assist with balance sheet preparation for all companies (international and Cdn) and reconciliations
- Prepare monthly facilities internal order report, analysing various cost elements variances.
- Prepare monthly prepaid and accrual accounts in SAP/S4 HANA
- Assist with audit information requests from our auditor
- Provide support for other financial areas as needed
- Support the Finance team and CFO on various accounting projects
What You Need To Succeed
- Currently enrolled full‑time in a post‑secondary, undergraduate Accounting or Finance program requiring a co‑op placement
- Proficient with advanced Microsoft Excel tools (Power Query, VBA, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
