Job Description
Sales Manager Location: Ottawa, Ontario (Hybrid – two days per week in office) Full‑time Our client is looking for a driven, hands‑on Sales Manager to take ownership of our sales function as we continue to grow our Microsoft‑centric IT Service Management and IT Asset Management business. Based in Ottawa, this role is ideal for a player‑coach who can lead from the front—personally contributing to key opportunities while building the structure, discipline, and consistency needed to scale. You’ll work closely with leadership, marketing, partners, and Microsoft field teams to strengthen pipeline generation, improve forecasting, support successful deal execution, and help shape the next stage of our go‑to‑market organization.
Our team follows a hybrid work model, with two in‑office days per week in Ottawa. What You’ll Do Take ownership of the sales function, leading day‑to‑day execution while helping build the structure needed to scale. Lead, coach, and support the sales team to improve performance, accountability, and consistency across the full sales cycle.
Act as a player‑coach on strategic opportunities, partnering directly on qualification, deal strategy, customer engagement, and closing plans. Drive pipeline development, opportunity progression, and forecast accuracy to help achieve revenue targets. Establish and reinforce a process‑driven sales approach, including pipeline reviews, territory planning, and sales cadence management.
Work closely with marketing to align campaigns, lead generation, and follow‑up efforts with sales priorities. Build and strengthen relationships with partners, customers, and Microsoft field sellers to support growth and market reach. Maintain a strong understanding of the clients’ solutions and clearly communicate our value in the context of Microsoft Power Platform.
Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to help shape sales strategy and positioning. Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and development of sales talent as the team evolves. What You Bring 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS software sales, with prior sales leadership, team lead, or strong player‑coach experience.
Demonstrated success managing pipeline, forecasting, and sales execution in a structured, metrics‑driven environment. Experience supporting or leading full‑cycle enterprise or mid‑market software sales, from qualification through close. A hands‑on leadership style, with the ability and willingness to contribute directly to deals.
Strong coaching and communication skills, with the ability to motivate others and raise performance standards. Experience engaging senior business and IT stakeholders, including executive‑level buyers. Strong business acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to prioritize effectively.
The ambition and capability to grow into broader sales leadership responsibility as the organization scales. Excellent organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Experience with ITSM, ITIL, IT operations, or enterprise service management is an asset.
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, or the broader Microsoft ecosystem is a strong plus. University degree, college diploma, or equivalent relevant experience. If you’re ready to help lead growth at a company with strong Microsoft alignment, a respected product, and an experienced team, we’d love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
