Senior Qualified Permanent - Commercial Banking Director As a Director in Commercial Banking at National Bank, you will be responsible for growing the portfolio of business clients entrusted to you. You will work in a hybrid environment, splitting your time between the office, client visits, networking events, and remote work. Responsibilities Grow the portfolio of business clients entrusted to you.

Identify and develop business opportunities in your market, increasing clientele and establishing business development strategies. Help clients achieve business objectives by proposing financial strategies based on the most appropriate combination of bank products and services. Negotiate the terms and conditions of agreements with clients, ensuring compliance with risk‑management standards and profitability criteria.

Assist the Team Lead of Commercial Banking in achieving objectives. Actively participate in networking activities such as cocktail parties and conferences. Work in synergy with all other bank departments.

Manage a portfolio of clients covering the Edmonton region and report to the Team Lead of Commercial Banking. Engage in on‑the‑job training programs and access personalized training content on banking solutions and advisory approaches. Qualifications At least 5 to 9 years of business development experience in the financial industry; Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience or Master's degree with 5 years of experience.

Experience in commercial credit. Experience in sales and business development. A network of professional contacts among medium‑sized and large local businesses.
