Role Summary: The IT Operational Hygiene & Technology Lifecycle Specialist is responsible for overseeing the health, governance, and sustainability of the application’s technology estate. The role drives strong CMDB (Configuration Management Database) and ITSM discipline, ensuring technology asset, product and library versions integrity, proactive security vulnerability management, and reduction of technical debt across systems, applications, and infrastructure.
This is a governance and operational control role—not a day-to-day support position—focused on maintaining a secure, compliant supportable, and well-managed technology environment. Key Responsibilities: Own and manage CMDB and ITIL processes for operating environments, ensuring accuracy of application CIs and technology assets. Manage user access reviews (UARs) and audits , ensuring compliance with governance standards.
Ensure integrity and accuracy of Configuration Items (CIs) in ServiceNow , including job-related and application components. Drive technology and operational hygiene across applications, infrastructure, and vendor products. Oversee technology lifecycle management , including versioning, patching, and end-of-life risks.
Maintain and govern the technical debt catalogue , prioritizing remediation based on business impact. Enforce ITSM/ITIL discipline across configuration, change, asset, and lifecycle processes. Ensure quality and effectiveness of support processes , including ticketing standards and escalation practices.
Own and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation , including runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles. Track vulnerabilities and produce reporting dashboards , providing transparency on technology health, risk, and remediation status. Required Qualifications: 8 to 10 years of experience in IT operations, platform governance, asset management, or technology risk/controls.
Strong knowledge of ITIL/ITSM frameworks, particularly in configuration, change, and asset management processes. Experience with CMDB and asset management platforms. Familiarity with software versioning, dependency management, vulnerability tracking, and lifecycle management.
Excellent analytical, reporting, and cross-team coordination skills. Preferred Qualifications: ITIL Foundation certification or higher. Experience with ServiceNow CMDB, Asset Management, or Vulnerability modules.
Background in regulated environments with strong control and audit requirements.
