Your Role Key Responsibilities Perform and analyze HVDC, AC, CV, and transient electrical characterization for on‑wafer and packaged GaN HEMTs Design on‑wafer test structures and automate probing stations/measurement systems for efficient data acquisition Interpret physical analysis data (SEM/TEM, thermal imaging, EDX, SIMS) to support device physics understanding and failure analysis Coordinate characterization data with modeling teams to develop compact device models for circuit simulation Partner with design and application engineering teams to diagnose device behavior and drive performance improvements Develop, troubleshoot, and standardize test procedures; provide technical guidance to operators, technicians, and junior engineers Maintain characterization databases, ensure data integrity, and produce clear technical reports and documentation Your Profile Qualifications and Skills MSc in Electrical Engineering or Physics (PhD preferred) Minimum 3 years of experience in semiconductor power device characterization Strong foundation in compound semiconductor materials, GaN E-HEMT physics, and high‑voltage/CV measurement techniques Proficiency with semiconductor parameter analyzers, CV systems, and high‑voltage characterization equipment Programming/automation skills (Python, C++, LabVIEW, or MATLAB) and experience with statistical data analysis, such as Spotfire Excellent problem‑solving, technical writing, and verbal communication abilities Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, multi‑disciplinary R&D environment Export Control Eligibility Must be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian government security requirements; and/or (as necessary): Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods Must be eligible to handle US export‑controlled data Compensation Minimum of $98,080.00 salary per year / Maximum of $134,860.00 salary per year. All employees eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
