Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer in the EPCM sector in Edmonton, Alberta. Our client is seeking a Process Engineer to lead the detailed design, simulation, and optimization of gas processing systems for EPC fabrication projects. This role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of process designs while supporting project execution from bid through commissioning.
Benefits Total rewards: $150,000.00 annually Compensation variable depending on experience Performance based compensation RRSP matching Health and dental benefits Relocation assistance Opportunities for career growth Exposure to complex gas processing facility design projects Typical Day Perform process modeling, simulations, and calculations for gas processing units Develop project deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, line lists, PSV lists, and control documentation Build and validate process simulations for bids and active projects Prepare startup and operating manuals and process specifications Size equipment, control valves, PSV systems, flare systems, and piping Define process control and safety philosophies; support HAZOP participation Review technical specifications to support bids and project execution Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and vendors throughout project lifecycle Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent) Registered (or eligible) Professional Engineer with APEGA 10–20 years of experience in oil & gas, preferably gas processing or fabrication Strong hands‑on experience with detailed process design (not just high‑level EPC exposure) Proficiency in tools such as Aspen HYSYS, Promax, Symmetry, Aspen EDR, and flare/sizing software Experience with gas processing systems (e.g., separators, amine, refrigeration, stabilization) Strong understanding of Canadian gas processing standards and practices Excellent communication skills; self‑starter with ability to work cross‑functionally #J-18808-Ljbffr
