The company has built a solid reputation for the quality and robustness of its mechanical designs and builds. www.reelinternational.com Location & Role With offices in Stoney Creek, Boisbriand, Jonquière, Sept‑Îles, we are currently looking for a Director of Engineering and Projects, attached to our Stoney Creek team serving a varied clientele throughout Ontario.

Position The Manager of Engineering and Projects reports to Ontario’s General Manager and oversees all activities of the engineering and project team. He also plays a key role in collaborating with the design groups based in Boisbriand and Jonquière, Quebec. What You’ll Do Lead project execution from the design to installation phase for major energy producer in Canada.

Plan, organize, structure and evaluate the activities of the Mechanical Engineering team (8 team members). Monitor the progress of ongoing projects and ensure compliance with the standards and regulations in force. Coach, evaluate, supervise and coordinate team.

Act as a key resource to clients and employees on the technical side of projects. Facilitate or participate in project kick‑off meetings and design reviews. Oversee the resolution of technical issues.

Ensure that mechanical engineering deliverables and time budgets are met. Anticipate potential problems, assess risks, and put plans in place to mitigate them. Collaborate with the various teams to ensure the availability of technical resources.

Collaborate closely and positively with clients on contract amendments and negotiations as needed to ensure profitable project management. Mentor and develop team members. Requirements What you’ll bring: University Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.

Licensed member of an engineering provincial association. 10+ years of experience in Mechanical or Mechatronic engineering. 10+ years of experience in team management. 5+ years of experience in project management. Basic knowledge of French (an asset). Basic knowledge of VFD motor control & PLC (an asset).
