Job Description
Job Title: Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Technical Consultant โ Retail Overview We are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Technical Consultant with strong expertise in X++ development to support a large-scale retail client. This role will focus heavily on system integrations, customization, and performance optimization within a complex, highly integrated D365 ecosystem. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical capability with a solid understanding of retail business processes , and be comfortable working in environments with numerous third-party integrations and high transaction volumes.
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain customizations within D365 F&O using X++ Lead and manage integration development and troubleshooting across multiple systems (e.g., payment connectors, sales order integrations, third-party platforms) Create high-quality technical solution designs aligned with business requirements Manage and optimize system integrations , ensuring stability and scalability Oversee environment management (development, UAT, production), including deployments and release processes Develop, maintain, and monitor batch jobs , ensuring reliability and performance Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes Optimize system performance and ensure efficient execution of custom code and integrations Collaborate with functional teams and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and governance frameworks Support and manage software customization lifecycle , including testing and documentation Required Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Advanced proficiency in X++ development Proven experience managing complex integrations within D365 environments Strong understanding of: Third-party payment connectors Sales order processing and integration High-volume transaction systems Experience with batch job configuration, monitoring, and optimization Solid experience in environment management (LCS, deployments, release pipelines) Demonstrated ability to perform deep technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis Strong track record in problem resolution within enterprise systems Experience designing scalable and maintainable technical solutions Familiarity with retail industry processes (POS, order lifecycle, payments, inventory, etc.) Strong focus on code quality, performance, and maintainability Preferred Qualifications Experience working in the retail sector Familiarity with modern development practices including: Version control (e.g., Git) CI/CD pipelines Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as: GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding tools Knowledge of Azure services and integration patterns (nice to have) Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work in complex, fast-paced environments Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions Proactive mindset with ownership of technical challenge
