Senior/Lead VCF Consultant (m/f/d)

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior or Lead VCF Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will participate in design, build and manage reliable, scalable and secure enterprise-grade environments on top of the VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) platform and integrate with 3rd party systems. You will be in a specialized expert role, who assists customers to manage their traditional and modern apps by providing a complete set of highly secure software-defined services for compute, storage, network.

Key Responsibilities • Deploy and Configure VCF9 Solution (SDDC, NSX, vSAN, Operations and Automation). • Work in a diverse team of consultants to implement sophisticated SDDC solutions comprising VMware Cloud Foundation. • Assessment of an existing VMware Cloud Foundation environment. • Implementation of VMware Cloud Foundation and/or LCM activities • Understanding of various 3rd party integrations with VMware Cloud Foundation • Actively demonstrate commercial awareness and stay within the scope of the contracted work. • Take ownership and accountability for individual deliverables. • Define project requirements/issues/constraints with PMs. • Make accurate impact assessments, and raise, implement, close down and roll-back plans when required. • Assist in the development of technical content, best practices, and white papers. • Solid experience with modern IT infrastructure and hosting operation (Disaster recovery, SLA, Backup, Multi Site, Monitoring, AD & DNS…) • Proven expertise on VMware Virtual Infrastructure Deployment, Management & Administration for different VMWare products such as: Aria Automation, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), Aria Operations, vSphere/vCenter is a strict minimum. • Cross operating system knowledge and experience in both Linux and Windows. • Plan and lead multi-cloud infrastructure accelerator engagements, implementations, roll-outs and migrations, including hands-on implementation of VCF deployments. • Excellent understanding of modern IT production data center and Internet (ISP/ASP) hosting operations. • Lead and mentor other team members to ensure customer requirements, quality and best practices are met. • Stay current with industry trends and lead internal initiatives in regards to optimizations and enhancements of new product versions, current solutions, frameworks and processes. Required Qualifications • Candidate should have 8+ years of relevant professional experience. • 3-5 years of experience in customer-facing positions as a consultant, preferably within a system integrator, consulting organization or IT provider. • Adaptable and progressive learner with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.

Preferred Qualifications (highly valued) • VKS or NSX domain expert is an added advantage. • Ability to work independently and work collaboratively in a team environment. • An active listener with excellent and confident communications and interpersonal skills with an ability to read complex customer situations and adapt as needed • Experience working with customers across the APJ/EMEA region. • Experience in solution design definitions or adjustments.
