Job Description (JD) Job Role : AM – Import & Export (SCM) Department: Supply Chain Management (SCM) Location: Corporate Office, Seshadripuram, Bangalore Role Summary Responsible for managing end-to-end import and export operations, including shipment planning, documentation, customs clearance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders while ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. Key Responsibilities Import Operations Handle complete import cycle from purchase order to delivery Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and CHA Track shipments and ensure timely customs clearance Verify import documents such as invoice, packing list, BL/AWB, and certificate of origin Export Operations Manage export process from order receipt to shipment Prepare export documentation like invoice, packing list, and shipping bill Coordinate with production, warehouse, and logistics teams Ensure timely dispatch and delivery Documentation & Compliance Ensure compliance with DGFT, Customs, and GST regulations Handle LC documentation and INCOTERMS Maintain records for audit and compliance Logistics Coordination Coordinate air and sea shipments with freight forwarders Optimize freight cost and delivery timelines Track shipments and provide updates Customs Clearance Work with CHA for timely clearance Resolve customs queries and ensure proper duty payment MIS & Cost Control Track logistics costs and prepare MIS reports Identify cost-saving opportunities Skills & Requirements Knowledge of import and export procedures Understanding of customs and trade regulations Familiarity with INCOTERMS Experience in SAP/ERP systems Strong coordination skills Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Timely shipment clearance Accuracy in documentation Reduction in demurrage and detention Cost optimization Compliance adherence
