Functional Consultant

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Functional Consultant – ERP (Infor LN / Ramco) to support the implementation, optimization, and governance of enterprise ERP finance processes across a multinational business environment. The role will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into a structured and scalable financial data model across Infor LN / Infor Cloud Suite and Ramco ERP , ensuring seamless integration of operational transactions into finance systems. The consultant will play a key role in financial architecture, Chart of Accounts (COA) governance, project costing, integration mapping, reconciliation, financial closing, and enterprise reporting .

The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in Infor LN financial modules, ERP integrations, accounting principles, and project-based financial environments , along with strong stakeholder engagement capabilities to bridge business finance and IT. Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Architecture & Data Modeling Design and govern Chart of Accounts (COA) dimension structures across ERP platforms Ensure appropriate analysis dimensions such as: WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) Asset IDs Cost Centers Project Dimensions are reflected accurately in ledger transactions Develop financial taxonomy structures supporting: Engineering & Construction (E&C) reporting Retention accounting Percentage of Completion (POC) revenue recognition Ensure consistency and standardization of financial master data models 2.

ERP Financial Integration Management Design and manage how operational transactions such as: Materials Labor Equipment Procurement transactions flow into financial postings and General Ledger entries Ensure Infor LN integration framework aligns with business and reporting requirements Support: Cost loading Forecasting Financial reconciliation Coordinate ERP integration with: HRMS systems Project Management Systems Other enterprise applications 3. Mapping & Posting Logic Governance Manage: Integration document types Financial mapping schemes Element groups Posting priorities Define fallback and default accounting logic to ensure transaction posting continuity Prevent system posting failures, reconciliation gaps, and tax inconsistencies Maintain governance around GL mapping and posting rules 4. Project Costing & Revenue Management Configure and manage: Project budgets WBS structures Cost breakdown structures (CBS) Enable real-time monitoring of: Commitments Actual costs Budget variances Oversee automated revenue recognition processes using: Percentage of Completion (POC) Progress billing methodologies Support: Cash flow forecasting Financial planning activities Earned Value Management (EVM) 5.

Risk & Change Management Ensure alignment between: Project planning Execution Financial performance tracking Identify: Cost risks Schedule risks Financial deviations Support: Delay analysis (EOT / TIA preferred) Change management Re-baselining initiatives 6. Reconciliation & Error Resolution Manage integration-related finance accounts and reconciliation processes Resolve transaction posting failures through ERP integration frameworks Establish master data governance to prevent: Failed postings Incorrect tax treatments Financial inconsistencies Support month-end and year-end reconciliation activities 7. Functional Testing & User Support Perform end-to-end testing of finance transaction flows such as: Goods Receipt → Accrual → Tax → GL Posting Support: UAT planning and execution Functional stabilization post go-live Defect resolution and root-cause analysis Train and support business users on ERP finance functionalities 8.
