Position Details Full Time, Contract Contract Length: 6 months Position Summary As an IT Business Analyst, you will work with Business teams to understand their technology requirements and business processes and suggest appropriate improvements or efficiencies. Responsibilities Defines and manages scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for initiatives. Facilitates input from stakeholders, provides constructive challenge and enables effective prioritisation of requirements.
Establishes requirements baselines, obtains formal agreement to requirements, and ensures traceability to source. Investigates business situations where there is some complexity and ambiguity. Conducts root cause analysis and identifies recommendations for improvements.
Develops and executes test plans and test cases. Analyses and reports on test activities, results, issues, and risks. Collaborates with technical teams to develop system integration plans and report on progress.
Maintains application support processes and checks that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures. Position Requirements University or College degree in IT, Business Analysis, or related discipline. Minimum 6 years of experience working as a Business Analyst in an IT environment.
Experience supporting technology projects involving business systems or enterprise applications. Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting requirements. Proven understanding of project management methodologies and software development life cycle.
Familiarity with business analysis and project management tools such as: Jira and Microsoft Visio. Understanding of systems analysis and modeling methods. Excellent communication, organizational, planning and prioritisation skills.
Problem solving ability and good business judgement โ knowing when to elevate, who to keep informed to identify next steps/resolution. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, self-starter, adaptable.
