Job Description
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) • Lead and drive the end-to-end S&OP process for Cables and associated businesses. • Align demand forecasts with manufacturing capacity, material availability, and dispatch planning. • Prepare annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly business plans aligned with organizational objectives. • Ensure synchronization between Sales, Production, SCM, Finance, and Customer Support teams. • Monitor order booking, production planning, dispatch schedules, and customer delivery commitments. Production Planning & Control • Drive production planning and machine scheduling to achieve optimum plant utilization. • Monitor daily production performance against planned targets and initiate corrective actions. • Ensure timely availability of raw materials and coordination with procurement and stores teams. • Optimize manufacturing throughput while maintaining quality and cost targets. • Review production bottlenecks and implement process improvement initiatives. Working Capital & Inventory Optimization • Drive inventory rationalization and working capital optimization initiatives. • Monitor inventory levels, receivables, dispatches, and cash-flow alignment. • Ensure optimum stock levels for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. • Improve demand forecasting accuracy and reduce excess inventory.
Cross-Functional Coordination • Collaborate closely with Sales, SCM, Production, QA, Finance, and Logistics teams. • Facilitate monthly S&OP review meetings and management reporting. • Support business leadership with MIS, dashboards, analytics, and strategic planning inputs. • Coordinate with multiple plant locations for seamless operations execution. Process Improvement & Digitization • Lead digital transformation initiatives related to planning and operational processes. • Drive SAP, CRM, and automation initiatives to improve operational visibility and efficiency. • Develop analytical dashboards and performance-monitoring tools. • Identify opportunities for productivity improvement and conversion cost reduction. Customer Support & Commercial Coordination • Ensure timely execution of customer orders and adherence to dispatch commitments. • Coordinate with commercial and customer support teams for issue resolution. • Monitor key customer service metrics and improve order fulfillment efficiency.
Compliance & Governance • Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, audit requirements, and statutory compliance. • Support internal and external audits related to planning and operations processes.
