The company owns pipelines that transport hydrocarbon liquids and natural gas products primarily in Western Canada, as well as gathering and processing facilities and an oil and natural gas liquids infrastructure and logistics business. Pembina’s operations along the hydrocarbon value chain allow it to offer a full spectrum of midstream and marketing services to its customers in the energy industry. Overview: The corporate FP&A team is looking for a Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst. The analyst will report to the Manager, Corporate FP&A within the Financial Planning & Analysis Unit, part of the Financial Services Division. The role involves supporting short‑term forecast and budget cycles, reviewing financial models, and preparing critical outputs for senior management. Responsibilities: Support senior management and the business in evaluating short‑term forecasts, budgets and other value‑add deliverables; Develop and maintain complex short‑ / medium‑term financial models to: Support current lines of business, financial valuation of business opportunities, and assistance to senior management decision making; Conduct detailed corporate‑level financial analysis related to Pembina’s funding plan, rating agency financial metrics, pro‑forma analysis, sensitivity analysis, M&A integration and other corporate initiatives; Prepare board updates related to capital markets; Support the development and maintenance, in collaboration with business units and senior management, of Pembina’s 2.5‑ and 10‑year plans, strategy sessions, and budgets; Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting activities; Support the maintenance of the ERP systems utilized at Pembina; Work with corporate planning and capital markets teams on broader corporate initiatives; Demonstrate learning agility by actively seeking feedback, adapting to new information quickly, and applying learnings to improve performance and deliver consistent results in a dynamic environment; Support Pembina’s safety culture of “Zero by Choice” and the “Life Saving Rules”; Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace. Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Commerce (accounting or finance focus) or another quantitative discipline; advanced education (CBV, CFA, CPA, MBA) desirable; Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an FP&A or similar role, or 4+ years of other relevant experience with a quantitative focus, research, and analysis; General knowledge of the oil and gas sector and familiarity with the midstream industry; Outstanding financial modelling and economic evaluation skills; Proficiency with standard software programs: MS Office (PowerPoint and Word) and advanced Excel skills; Experience with databases (SAP) and financial data sites (Bloomberg) considered an asset; Self‑starter, strong work ethic, and an ability to think independently and work collaboratively: Exhibits self‑awareness and displays high intellectual curiosity; Demonstrates accountability and commitment through strict attention to detail and ownership in work; Demonstrates ability to quickly adapt to new settings, learn new processes, and apply them effectively in a fast‑paced environment; Drives results by prioritizing tasks and effective problem‑solving; Confidently applies business acumen; Communicates effectively (strong written and verbal skills) and fosters meaningful working relationships across the organization.
