Our client is seeking a highly capable Delivery Lead to take ownership of a strategic technology modernisation initiative, focused on migrating the VMware estate to OpenShift Virtualisation.

The Role:

• Lead the day-to-day delivery of a strategic modernisation programme.
• Manage the migration of the VMware estate to the OpenShift Container Platform and OpenShift Virtualisation.
• Own programme plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and delivery governance.
• Coordinate infrastructure, platform, and engineering teams to ensure successful migration outcomes.
• Drive visibility across the programme through effective reporting, RAID management, and stakeholder communication.
• Remove delivery blockers and manage competing priorities across multiple workstreams.
• Partner with senior technology leadership to ensure programme objectives are achieved.
• Provide hands-on delivery leadership in a fast-paced environment where priorities and requirements continue to evolve.

What We re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Delivery Lead, Programme Manager, Technical Project Manager, or Infrastructure Transformation Lead.
• Demonstrable experience delivering VMware migration, infrastructure migration, data centre transformation, or platform modernisation programmes.
• Experience coordinating technical teams through complex migration and transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of VMware technologies, virtualisation environments, and enterprise infrastructure programmes.
• Exposure to OpenShift, OpenShift Virtualisation, Kubernetes, container platforms, or cloud-native transformation programmes is highly desirable.
• Excellent planning, reporting, RAID management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with technical teams and senior leadership.
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities and changing requirements.
• Experience delivering the following projects:
  • VMware to OpenShift migration programmes
  • Enterprise virtualisation transformation initiatives
  • Infrastructure modernisation projects
  • Containerisation and platform transformation programmes
  • Large-scale technology migration and modernisation programmes
