Maintenance Technician

Overview

We are seeking to recruit a Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician to join an established service provider to the health and hospitality sector across the UK and Ireland. As part of a growing operation, they're looking to strengthen their engineering team with a versatile, trade-qualified Maintenance Technician to help keep their busy production facility running smoothly.

This is a hands-on, varied role within a small, close-knit engineering team, ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving and thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

Responsibilities

• Provide multi-skilled engineering and maintenance cover across the full production facility.
• Carry out routine, preventative, and reactive maintenance in line with the site plan.
• Diagnose faults quickly and complete repairs to minimise production downtime.
• Investigate breakdowns and conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain, calibrate, and repair plant, equipment, and utilities across the site.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, motors, and control circuits.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activity, faults, and spares for compliance and audit purposes.
• Manage spares stock and flag any shortfalls to management.

Criteria

• Trade-qualified, multi-skilled maintenance engineer with mechanical bias and some electrical knowledge.
• Proven track record in a fast-paced production environment.
• Conversant with PLCs.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Comfortable working shifts, including some weekend cover.
• Background FMCG environment is an advantage.
