Due to continued expansion and an increasing pipeline of projects, they are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Junior. Your New Role

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will provide support across a range of commercial and cost management activities associated with the organisation's property portfolio and ongoing development closely with senior colleagues, contractors, consultants, and suppliers, you will gain exposure to all aspects of Quantity Surveying, helping to ensure projects are delivered within budget and to the required responsibilities will include:
Quantity Surveying Support

• Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies.
• Supporting cost planning and financial monitoring across development and refurbishment projects.
• Assisting with the procurement of contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
• Preparing and maintaining project cost reports and budget trackers.
• Reviewing contractor quotations and supporting tender evaluations.
• Assisting with interim valuations and payment applications.
• Supporting the management of project variations and change control procedures.
• Assisting with final account preparation and project close-out activities.

Project & Property Support

• Maintaining accurate project records, documentation, and filing systems.
• Coordinating project-related correspondence and administrative activities.
• Monitoring project programmes and assisting with progress reporting.
• Liaising with contractors, consultants, and suppliers regarding project updates.
• Supporting site inspections and attending project meetings where required.
• Assisting with the management of maintenance and refurbishment projects across the property portfolio.

Commercial Administration

• Supporting the preparation of reports and project documentation for internal stakeholders.
• Assisting with supplier and contractor account management.
• Monitoring project expenditure against approved budgets.
• Maintaining records of contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and project costs.
• Supporting cost-saving initiatives and value-engineering exercises where appropriate.

What You'll Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or be working towards a Quantity Surveying qualification.
• Previous experience within a construction, consultancy, contractor, property, or development environment would be advantageous.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
