Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Electrical and Low Voltage (ELV) System Design Coordinator with 6 to 8 years of experience to join our engineering and project delivery team in Bangalore. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end design coordination, engineering review, and implementation for electrical and ELV infrastructure specifically tailored for state-of-the-art pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, R&D centers, and high-containment laboratories.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Coordination & Engineering Review: Lead the design, review and coordination of electrical (HT/LT distribution, transformers, DG sets, switchgear, lighting, tray layouts, earthing, and lightning protection) and ELV systems (BMS, CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm Systems, Data/Voice networks) layout and schematics.
• Pharma & Lab Specialization: Ensure designs comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), USFDA/WHO guidelines, cleanroom classifications, and relevant national/international standards
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary technical bridge between internal project teams, external architectural/MEP consultants, validation teams, and site execution contractors.
• Drawings & Documentation: Prepare, Review and approve shop drawings, schematic diagrams, cable schedules, load calculations, and equipment specifications prepared by consultants, using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Vendor & Quality Management: Evaluate technical proposals, coordinate with equipment vendors, and ensure quality standards are strictly met during design and execution phases.
• ELV & Automation Integration: Design comprehensive ELV systems, including Building Management Systems (BMS), Fire Alarm Systems (FAS), CCTV, Access Control, Data/Voice networks, and Cleanroom monitoring systems
• Site Support & Pan-India Travel: Provide intermittent technical troubleshooting, design clarifications, and progress monitoring by traveling to project sites across India as required.

 Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 6 to 8 years of dedicated experience in electrical and ELV design & coordination within the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Healthcare, or high-tech Laboratory sectors.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Strong working knowledge of HT/LT distribution, power backup systems, lighting design, and containment lab electrical requirements.
• Hands-on familiarity with ELV systems integration in complex industrial/R&D environments.
• Proficiency in design and drafting tools such as AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Sound understanding of pharma compliance norms, safety standards, and energy efficiency practices.
• Mobility: Flexibility and readiness to travel across India for project kick-offs, site coordination, and stakeholder meetings.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and multi-tasking abilities to handle fast-paced design changes and cross-functional teams.
