Role Description:

The Junior Accountant role at ICC is a part-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely recording and reconciliation of financial transactions.


The Junior Accountant will handle routine accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, accounts receivable and accounts payable, TDS-related activities, invoice and payment entries, and maintenance of accounting records. The role requires hands-on experience with Tally, MS Excel, and accounting software, along with strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.


The position will work closely with the finance and accounts team to maintain accurate books of accounts, support periodic reporting, follow up on outstanding receivables and payables, and ensure that accounting activities are completed accurately and within required timelines.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Tally, MS Excel, and accounting/ERP software.
  • Strong knowledge of day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping.
  • Practical experience in bank reconciliation and reconciliation of financial records.
  • Good understanding of accounts receivable, debtors, accounts payable, and creditors.
  • Working knowledge of TDS and related accounting and compliance processes.
  • Ability to record and verify invoices, receipts, payments, expenses, and other accounting transactions accurately.
  • Ability to maintain proper accounting documentation and supporting records.
  • Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and reconciliation skills.
  • Ability to identify accounting discrepancies and follow through to resolution.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills for working with internal teams, vendors, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Relevant educational background such as a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a trading, distribution, or manufacturing company will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site in Mumbai and manage part-time working hours reliably and efficiently.
