Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role located in Hyderabad. The Interior Designer will work closely with senior designers and the project team, taking ownership of defined interior packages across healthcare, residential and commercial projects. Responsibilities include developing interior layouts, RCPs, furniture plans and finish schedules; producing detailed working drawings, joinery details and false ceiling details in AutoCAD; building 3D models and visualisations in SketchUp; selecting materials, finishes and FF&E and coordinating samples and mock-ups with vendors; preparing BOQs and supporting vendor scrutiny; coordinating interior drawings with MEP, HVAC and structural consultants; and conducting site visits to resolve execution queries and check work against drawings.
The role demands active participation in design discussions, direct client presentation of your own work, and hands-on involvement through to site execution.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Interior Design and Space Planning, including developing design concepts through to GFC construction documentation.
- Minimum 2 years of professional interior design experience, excluding internships, in a design firm, architecture practice or interior fit-out contractor.
- AutoCAD is mandatory. Must be able to independently produce a complete interior construction drawing set โ layouts, RCPs, sections, joinery and false ceiling details.
- SketchUp is mandatory. Must be able to model, set up scenes and render using V-Ray or Enscape.
- A Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or Design (B.Des) is a must. A 4-year Diploma in Interior Design will also be considered.
- Working knowledge of interior materials, finishes, joinery detailing, false ceiling systems and standard execution practices.
- Ability to assist with project coordination, including working with consultants and vendors, tracking timelines and executing project goals efficiently.
- Strong organisational and collaboration skills with a focus on attention to detail.
- Exposure to healthcare, residential or commercial interior projects is a plus.
