We’re Hiring: Senior Business Development Manager (12-Month Contract)
Rate: Up to €550 per day (depending on experience)
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join an Irish research and engineering organisation and play a key role in driving commercial growth, building strategic partnerships, and bringing innovative engineering solutions to industry.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded leader who thrives on developing relationships, winning new business, and working alongside world-class engineering and research teams to deliver real-world impact.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Owning the full business development lifecycle, from prospecting and opportunity identification through to negotiation and contract close
- Building and managing a strong network of senior industry contacts, including CTOs, Engineering Directors, Innovation Leads, Procurement Heads, and executive stakeholders
- Identifying and converting new client opportunities aligned with research and engineering capabilities
- Developing strategic accounts and driving repeat business, partnerships, and long-term growth
- Leading commercial negotiations and supporting complex proposals and agreements
- Representing the organisation at industry events, innovation forums, and networking opportunities
- Leading and mentoring business development team members
We’re looking for someone with:
- A proven track record in business development, strategic partnerships, or commercial growth roles
- Previous experience within the IT sector or a strong IT sector background is required
- Experience within engineering, technology, research, manufacturing, or professional services environments
- Strong relationships with senior industry stakeholders
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to work independently while collaborating with technical and leadership teams
