We're working with a global private markets firm on a Fund Accounting Manager appointment covering their Private Debt fund range. If you've outgrown a pure execution role and want the next step up, this is worth a look.
The role
You'll sit at the centre of the fund accounting function for a book of private debt and fund of funds vehicles, acting as the main point of coordination between fund administrators, the wider finance team and other international offices.
Day to day the role covers pricing and valuing the funds each month, checking fee calculations (including some fairly complex fee structures), keeping an eye on currency exposure, and staying on top of investor activity, think calls, redemptions and payouts. You'll also be the one closing out differences between the manager's books and the administrator's, and you'll have junior team members looking to you for guidance as they come up.
What you need
- Strong background in fund accounting, gained in private debt, private equity or hedge fund strategies
- CFA, CPA or CAIA is a bonus, not a must
- People leadership experience
