Client:
Our client is a large, nationally recognised business operating across a complex multi-site environment. They are seeking a commercially minded Finance Analyst to join their finance team and partner closely with Finance Business Partners to drive performance, improve decision-making and support strategic growth.
This is a hands-on role that combines financial analysis and commercial insight.

You will work closely with sales, operations, supply chain and leadership teams to improve financial outcomes and support operational excellence.

  • Analyse, review and report on the financial performance and position of specified branches/regions on a monthly and annual basis against budgets.
  • Participate in complex projects in cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitating activities such as; cost reduction and process efficiency opportunities, budgeting, forecasting, planning and project evaluations.
  • Pursuing value-creating business opportunities as front-line commercial support, and improving the sustainable competitive advantage of the organisation.
  • Investigate and explain variances, trends and anomalies including investigations of sales, margins, productivity, labour and material variances, inventory, direct and indirect costs etc.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closes through the processing of journals for provisions/accruals/adjustments etc
  • Analyse & report on variances to budgets, history and forecast
  • Prepare & distribute variance analysis & snapshot reporting
  • Liaise with Branch Managers, Area Business Managers and General Managers, and assist with achieving regional profitability and growth targets.
  • University Degree Qualification in Commerce/Accounting/Finance
  • Professional CPA / Chartered Accountant
  • Strong technical accounting skills
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task assignments and appropriately prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
  • Strong commitment to team culture and performance
  • High levels of energy and drive - Performance-based mindset, results-orientated
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
