.NET Software Engineer AI Enabled Development

Job Description.NET Software Engineer, you will work on a Data & AI Solutions team to design, build, modernise, and continuously improve secure, scalable applications. Backend .NET experience, good full-stack awareness, and the ability to work across APIs, cloud platforms, data, DevOps, and AI-assisted engineering practices. C# and modern .NET engineering experience, practical exposure to React or similar frontend technologies, and a mindset around quality, maintainability, security, and ownership.

You will use modern engineering tools, including GitHub Copilot and other AI-enabled development capabilities, to improve delivery speed, code quality, testing, documentation, and problem solving while applying sound engineering judgement. 4 days a week onsite Dublin City Up to 65k with bonus and benefits Required Experience 3-5 years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining applications using C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API, and modern .NET. Proven experience building secure, scalable APIs, integrations, background services, and cloud-ready application components. Good knowledge of SQL Server, T-SQL, data modelling, query optimisation, and ORM tools such as Entity Framework or Dapper.

Practical experience with Microsoft Azure, CI/CD, Git-based workflows, automated testing, code reviews, and secure engineering practices. Working knowledge of modern frontend technologies, ideally React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly to support coding, refactoring, testing, and documentation.

Key Skills C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API, modern .NET, object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and clean architecture. Microsoft Azure, cloud-native application development, secure configuration, monitoring, and production support. SQL Server, T-SQL, data modelling, performance tuning, Entity Framework, Dapper, or equivalent data access technologies.

API design, integrations, background services, messaging, event-driven patterns, and distributed system concepts. React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend engineering practices. Git, GitHub, pull request workflows, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code quality, peer review, and release practices.

GitHub Copilot, AI-assisted development, agentic engineering workflows, prompt quality, and responsible review of generated code. Desirable Regulated environments, ideally financial services or enterprise technology. Cloud-native architecture, containers, service messaging, observability, DevSecOps, microservices, or event-driven platforms.

Supporting data platforms, analytics, automation, AI-enabled engineering, or internal developer productivity initiatives. Key Responsibilities Design, build, modernise, and support high-quality .NET applications, APIs, services, integrations, and cloud-native components. Translate business and product requirements into secure, scalable, maintainable technical solutions.

Work closely with product, architecture, cloud, security, data, and engineering teams to deliver solutions into production and support them through their lifecycle. Apply best engineering practices across solution design, coding, automated testing, peer review, CI/CD, observability, and production support. Use GitHub Copilot and other AI-enabled engineering tools responsibly to improve productivity, code quality, refactoring, testing, documentation, and problem solving.
