Victorian Diabetes Endocrine Network โ Malvern VIC
The position will be a 4 day week across Monday to Friday, Locations: Malvern and Brighton.
This position involves all aspects of running a busy specialist practice. You will be assigned to a group of roughly 2-3 private endocrinologists.
Victorian Diabetes Endocrine Network is an organisation of 12 Private Endocrinologist that values its patients and staff . Clinics are across 4 locations: Malvern, Brighton, Caulfield & Leongatha.
Your role as Medical Administrator requires excellent communication and organisational skills. You will be proactive and must have strong computer skills and a pleasant demeanour. You will also be required to demonstrate compassion, empathy and effective interpersonal skills.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Administrative support to medical professionals to ensure the smooth day to day operations of the clinic
- Schedule appointments, billing and payments, rescheduling, confirmations.
- Electronic filing of medical records and results
- Sending correspondence electronically, or by post where required
- Answer telephone calls and direct appropriately
- Field appropriate email enquiries and attend to them appropriately
- Welcome all visitors and ensure they are attended to courteously
- Listen to and satisfy the customer
- Processing payments using eftpos, settlement and cash handling.
- Liaising with other doctors, hospitals and medical representatives

- Medical Secretarial/Reception experience

Desirable attributes are:
- Knowledge of medical terminology and Medicare/Health fund billing requirements
- Proficient computer literacy and word processing skills to enable support of a small medical team
- Pleasant telephone answering skills and personal presentation, promoting a professional yet welcoming company image
