Role Description The PRT English (Grade 2–5) role is a full-time, on-site position based at Pallavi International School, Bachupally in Hyderabad. The educator will plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the Cambridge and CBSE curricula, focusing on reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills for learners in Grades 2–5. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and teaching materials, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records of academic performance.
The role involves creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment, supporting individual learning needs, coordinating with grade-level colleagues and subject teachers, and communicating with parents or guardians as needed. The educator is also expected to participate in school events, meetings, professional development sessions, and contribute to co-curricular activities that enhance language learning.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong English Teaching skills, with experience in instructing primary school learners (Grades 2–5).
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear classroom communication and positive interaction with students, families, and colleagues.
- Candidates should possess Translation and Customer Service skills to support multilingual learners and handle parent queries in a professional and respectful manner.
- Candidates should possess Training-related skills, including the ability to guide, mentor, and support learners through structured learning activities.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field, along with a B.Ed or equivalent teaching certification.
- Knowledge of Cambridge and/or CBSE curriculum and familiarity with age-appropriate pedagogical approaches for primary grades.
- Ability to manage classrooms effectively, use basic educational technology, and design engaging, activity-based lessons.
- Commitment to inclusive, gender-neutral, non-discriminatory teaching practices and to the holistic development of learners.
