Lead Developer - Web & Mobile Applications

As AccessEAP accelerates its digital transformation, the Lead Developer will be a critical driver of innovation, owning and evolving our technology landscape to support future growth.

Key Responsibilities

Take technical ownership of an existing Angular web application and lead its evolution into iOS and Android mobile apps.

Own, maintain, and enhance the platform, delivering secure, high-quality features across web and mobile

Design, build, test, and release new functionality aligned to business and product priorities

Develop and support integrations including APIs, SQL databases, document/file storage, calendar services, and third-party systems

Implement secure data flows, authentication, authorisation, and access control mechanisms

Troubleshoot, refactor, and continuously improve application performance, reliability, and user experience

Define solution architecture, technical patterns, and implementation approaches

Make pragmatic decisions balancing scalability, security, performance, maintainability, and speed to market

Identify and reduce technical debt while maintaining clear documentation across architecture, integrations, and deployment processes

Build secure, privacy-focused solutions that protect sensitive healthcare and client data

Apply secure-by-design principles across development, data handling, integrations, and deployment

Ensure strong data privacy practices including access control, auditability, secure storage, and transmission

Proactively identify and mitigate security, privacy, and compliance risks

Establish and uplift development standards, patterns, and ways of working

Mentor and guide engineering practices including code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and release management

Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot) to enhance delivery while maintaining engineering discipline

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, rapid learning, and pragmatic innovation

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Strong experience with APIs, SQL databases, authentication, authorisation, and Microsoft/Azure-based integrations

Training or certification in OWASP, secure coding, privacy, ISO 27001, or healthcare data security is highly regarded

Experience working across the Microsoft ecosystem, including Entra ID, D365, Dataverse, Fabric, Power Platform, SharePoint, and Azure

Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot

Proven experience developing web and mobile applications, including deployment or support of iOS and Android apps

Demonstrated ability to build polished, consumer-facing applications with strong UI/UX, accessibility, and mobile usability standards

Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, release management, app store deployment, and environment management

Experience working with sensitive, confidential, healthcare, patient, or other regulated data environments

Highly self-sufficient, with the ability to work independently, make sound technical recommendations, and deliver in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
