Job Description
The Parklife Metro consortium brings together four world-class organisations—Plenary, Webuild, Siemens and RATP Dev—to deliver the Stations, Systems, Trains, Operations and Maintenance (SSTOM) works for the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport project.
Our collective international experience ensures the latest technologies, innovation, and industry-leading expertise are applied to one of Sydney's most significant transport infrastructure projects.
This landmark project includes:
Six brand-new metro stations from St Marys to the new Aerotropolis.
Twelve new metro trains and core rail systems.
A state-of-the-art maintenance and stabling facility at Orchard Hills.
The new railway will become the transport spine of Greater Western Sydney, connecting communities and travellers with the new Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport and the rapidly growing region through fast, safe, and reliable metro services.

Responsibilities:
- Managing QA and IC inspections on site and close out items raised
- Plan and track progress against the plan with drive and determination to ensure program dates are met
- Undertake commercial duties and own their budget
- Manage day to day site operations and feed into the site delivery team
- Monitors and controls subcontractors' performance and ensures the quality and standard of workmanship is performed in accordance with the specifications
- Adhere to safety plan for project and communicates it to project team members including suppliers and subcontractors
- Ensures compliance with all relevant HSE policies, procedures and relevant legislative requirements
- Manages cost control for certain aspects of the project in order to ensure the project meets its performance targets in relation to budget/forecast
- Identifies and forecasts risks and opportunities
- Assists and prepares monthly financial reports as required for the project
- Manage and maintain effective liaison and communication with all levels of internal and external shareholders on all matters relating to the construction activities
- Interacts with both on site personnel and other parties to create a positive work environment
- Ensures regular two-way communication with the Senior Project Engineer on all matters
- Conducts regular site meetings to foster understanding, participation and enthusiasm
- Establishes and maintains close relationships with Site Supervisor(s) to drive program and results
About You:
The ideal candidate will have a background in buildings/constructionin large & complex reinforced concrete structures within the Tier 1 main contractor industry.
In addition to this, you will also need to have:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering
- 4+ years' experience minimum within the Construction industry
- Prior experience as a Project Engineer
- Previous exposure to building and structures projects
- Solid experience leading FRP packages
- Experience utilising Bluebeam, Microsoft Office programs and planning software
- Can read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, reinforcing steel bending schedules
- Experience managing Site Engineers, Graduate Engineers and Undergraduate Engineers
- Ability to use CAD, planning software such as aphex p6 or MPP and Microsoft software
- Experience in temporary works leading the design, third party review/sign off and execution/sign off on site with permits to load and strike
- Experience in reinforcing detailing and clash detection models with the ability to lead this process from start to finish
