Group procurement manager

We are seeking a Group Procurement Manager for a newly created role within a rapidly growing engineering and infrastructure business. Based from one of two Ireland offices and reporting to the Procurement Director, this role will provide strategic governance, oversight, and commercial guidance across multiple business units and projects within a decentralised procurement model.

The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of the Group procurement strategy, establishing robust frameworks, policies, and processes to support compliant, efficient purchasing practices. The role will drive procurement maturity, supplier governance, risk management, reporting, and value creation while acting as a trusted advisor to project and operational teams. Occasional travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities ies Provide Group-level procurement governance across multiple business units, regions, and projec ts. Support the development and implementation of the Group procurement strategy in line with business growth objectiv es. Provide oversight of procurement frameworks within a decentralised procurement environme nt. Develop and continuously improve procurement policies, standards, and governance framewor ks. Ensure consistent application of procurement requirements across all projects and locatio ns. Lead procurement governance meetings, supplier reviews, and escalation foru ms. Manage procurement audits, compliance reporting, and governance revie ws. Maintain procurement controls relating to delegated authority, approval processes, supplier onboarding, and risk escalati on. Monitor compliance through KPI reporting and stakeholder engageme nt. Oversee supplier onboarding and Group-level supplier governance process es. Develop and maintain commercial templates, procurement guidance, contractual frameworks, payment structures, and risk allocation methodologi es. Support governance and oversight of subcontract procurement activiti es. Assist with the development of procurement processes to support future business expansi on. Provide commercial guidance, tools, and support to project delivery tea ms. Maintain visibility of organisational spend through effective reporting and governance process es. You You will be an experienced procurement professional with a strong background in governance, commercial management, and strategic procurement leaders

Requirements ments Significant experience in a senior procurement, commercial, or procurement governance position, ideally within a Group, regional, or multi-site environ ment. Strong understanding of procurement governance, policy development, compliance, and control framew orks. Experience working within or supporting decentralised procurement struct ures. Strong commercial acumen with expertise in contracts, supplier governance, and risk manage ment. Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all le vels. Experience managing spend visibility, compliance reporting, and procurement performance met rics. Proven experience leading procurement audits, governance reviews, or procurement control initiat ives. Experience supporting procurement transformation, governance implementation, and organisational maturity programmes would be advantag eous. Background within engineering, construction, infrastructure, data centres, mission‑critical environments, or related sectors would be benefi cial.
