Location: Ireland | Medical Devices | Urology & Women's/Men's Health

A growing international medical device company is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive commercial growth across Ireland. This field-based position offers the opportunity to work within a specialist portfolio supporting healthcare professionals across urology and women's and men's health.

The successful individual will be responsible for developing strategic relationships with clinicians, procurement teams, and hospital stakeholders while driving new business opportunities and delivering strong commercial performance across a nationwide territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth across a nationwide hospital territory.
  • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities.
  • Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders including surgeons, consultants, theatre teams, clinical nurse managers, and procurement departments.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, presentations, and evaluations within hospital settings.
  • Support customers with clinical, technical, and commercial enquiries.
  • Develop and execute territory business plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to contract and order completion.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecasting process.
  • Launch and implement new products within the territory.
  • Gather and communicate competitor intelligence, market trends, and customer feedback.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to maximise market penetration and customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, and educational events.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within medical device sales.
  • Experience selling into hospital environments.
  • Exposure to urology, pelvic health, continence care, gynaecology, surgical devices, endoscopy, or other procedural-based therapies is advantageous.
  • Clinical backgrounds will also be considered, particularly individuals who have successfully moved into commercial roles.
  • Experience working within operating theatre environments.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with KOLs and senior healthcare stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to develop and manage a robust sales pipeline.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across Ireland.
