Role Description The Associate Director of Sales (Travel Trade Sales) is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi. This role is responsible for driving room and package sales through travel agencies, tour operators, online travel platforms, and corporate travel partners. Daily activities include identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing existing travel trade accounts, preparing and delivering sales presentations, and negotiating rate agreements and contracts.

The Associate Director of Sales will collaborate closely with revenue management, marketing, and operations teams to design and implement sales plans, track performance metrics, and optimize market penetration. The role also requires regular client meetings, participation in trade shows and industry events, and consistent reporting on pipeline, forecasts, and competitor activity.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in Sales and Sales Operations, with the ability to meet revenue targets and manage the full sales cycle.
  • Strong Customer Service capabilities, with a focus on relationship-building and client retention in the travel and hospitality sectors.
  • Proven Team Management experience, including coaching, performance tracking, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Business Development skills in identifying new markets, building partnerships with travel trade stakeholders, and expanding distribution channels.
  • Relevant experience in hotel or resort sales, ideally within travel trade or corporate sales environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with proficiency in English; additional regional languages are an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced on-site environment, manage multiple priorities, and analyze sales data to inform strategy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, trade fairs, and industry networking events as required.
