Position Summary


The Marine QHSE Executive will support the implementation and maintenance of the Company's Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (QHSE) Management System across the offshore fleet, including DP2 Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS), Platform Supply Vessels (PSV) and Fire Fighting Support Vessels (FFSV).

The role involves assisting with QHSE documentation, regulatory compliance, vessel audits, inspections, incident reporting and performance monitoring to support safe and efficient vessel operations.


Key Responsibilities


  • Assist in maintaining the Company's Safety Management System (SMS), including manuals, procedures, forms and QHSE records.
  • Support compliance with the ISM Code, ISPS Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, MLC 2006 and applicable DG Shipping requirements.
  • Maintain statutory certificates, QHSE records and vessel compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate with vessels to obtain safety reports, drill records, training records and other QHSE documentation.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating internal audits, vessel inspections and client or charterer audits.
  • Support OVID and other marine assurance inspections by preparing documentation and following up on observations and corrective actions.
  • Track audit findings, non-conformities and corrective actions to ensure timely closure.
  • Maintain records of incidents, near misses, safety observations and lessons learned.
  • Assist in incident investigations by collecting information and monitoring the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support vessel readiness for charterer inspections and operational compliance requirements.
  • Assist in monitoring environmental compliance, including pollution prevention, waste management and environmental reporting.
  • Prepare monthly QHSE reports, safety statistics and compliance summaries.
  • Coordinate with vessel personnel, Marine Operations, Technical Department, Classification Societies and regulatory authorities as required.
  • Perform other QHSE-related duties assigned by the Marine QHSE Superintendent.


Qualifications


·            Degree or Diploma in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Maritime Studies, Shipping, Safety Management or related discipline.

·            Basic understanding of offshore vessel operations and maritime safety requirements.

·            Familiarity with the ISM Code, ISPS Code, SOLAS, MARPOL and MLC 2006 is preferred.

·            Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.


Experience

·        3 years of minimum experience in marine operations, shipping, QHSE, vessel documentation or a related field.

·       Experience with offshore support vessels, including DP2 vessels, will be an advantage.

·       Exposure to vessel audits, inspections, marine documentation or statutory compliance is preferred.

·       Familiarity with OVID inspections or charterer QHSE requirements will be an added advantage.
