Energy Storage Regional Director (Latin America)

Location: Latin America (Remote Work)

Reports to: Group President

Key Responsibilities

• Business Development: Lead market expansion for energy storage in Latin America, with a focus on Brazil, Chile, Mexico, and Argentina. Develop regional strategies and achieve annual signing and revenue targets.
• Project Management: Drive full-cycle execution of utility-scale BESS projects from development, bidding, and contract negotiation through to delivery. Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure successful project implementation.
• Team Management: Build and manage a local business team (10+ members) in Latin America. Foster cross-cultural team integration and drive performance through remote collaboration.
• Government Relations: Maintain strong relationships with energy authorities and grid companies across Latin American countries to secure policy support for projects.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Energy Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience: 8+ years in energy/power industry, with 3+ years in energy storage, and 3+ years in regional management or team leadership roles.
• Technical Expertise: Familiar with BESS systems (cells/BMS/PCS/EMS) and utility-scale application scenarios and business models.
• Utility-scale Project Experience: Proven track record of full-cycle involvement in large-scale energy storage projects (from planning through delivery).
• Management Experience: Experience leading cross-regional teams of 10+ members; remote team management experience is a plus.
• Language: Fluent in English (working language and business negotiation); Spanish or Portuguese is a strong plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development within Latin American markets and familiarity with local business culture
• Knowledge of energy storage policies and regulatory trends across Latin American countries
• Experience with grid-forming PCS or liquid-cooling system projects
• Valid work authorization or long-term residency status in Latin America

• Open to both Chinese expatriates and local hires in Latin America
• Frequent business travel required across Latin American countries
