Job Description
The Lounge Technician plays a key role in delivering world-class entertainment experiences for guests.
This position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety while supporting events and productions across multiple venues onboard.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute all events and production elements in assigned lounges, prioritizing safety at all times.
Communicate professionally with Supervisors, Music Managers, Company Managers, Vocal Captains, and Guest Entertainers.
Provide clear and timely updates to the Senior Production Manager regarding technical assistance needs.
Operate audio systems proficiently, including digital consoles and associated equipment, while continuously developing technical skills.
Set up band equipment, including microphones, amplifiers, Aviom systems, music stands, and cables, and ensure readiness for performances.
Operate lighting systems, including MA Lighting, LED fixtures, video playback, and processing equipment.
Learn and apply basic automation operations, including Fire Curtain, Safety E-Stop, screens, and curtains.
Support Guest Entertainer requirements for lighting, audio, A/V setups, and stage cues.
Assist with equipment maintenance, repairs, and inventory reporting in collaboration with the technical team.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
Advanced technical proficiency, with demonstrated knowledge of audio, lighting, and A/V systems, including full band setups, signal flow, and equipment configuration.
Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot professional-grade systems used in live entertainment environments.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to technical issues in a high-pressure, time-sensitive setting.
Collaborative work style, with proven capacity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to support performers, stage staff, and Entertainment leadership while maintaining smooth show operations in a dynamic, fast-paced lounge environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
Strong organizational abilities for equipment management, show preparation, and documentation.
Strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to all company policies, safety procedures, and compliance standards.
Proactive approach to identifying potential hazards and ensuring safe equipment operation.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
Proficient command of the English language, both spoken and written, ensuring clear communication with team members, performers, and guests.
Strongly Preferred:
Prior experience in live event production, technical theatre operations, or similar performance-driven environments.
Familiarity with backstage workflows, cueing, and event-ready technical preparation is an advantage.
6/2 rotation: continual rotations of 6 months onboard followed by 2 months of vacation.
Shared cabin with private bathroom facilities.
