About Click&Boat
Click&Boat is Europe's leading boat rental marketplace, connecting millions of users with boat owners across 600+ destinations worldwide. With over €170M in annual GMV and a community of 2.4M+ registered users, we're transforming the way people experience the sea. Headquartered in Paris with a growing team in Barcelona, we combine the agility of a startup (~150 people) with the ambition of a category leader.
We believe in building a company where autonomy, speed, and impact define everyday work, and we're looking for people who share that mindset.
To support this ambition, we're hiring a VP Sales to lead our human-led Sales strategy and join our growing team in Barcelona.
The role
We're looking for a VP Sales to join our crew in Barcelona and own the strategy for our human-led Sales: the part of our business where a Sales rep steps in between a tenant and an owner to close the deal.
This is an inbound, transactional, high-volume business (40k leads per year), international and B2C, with an average basket of €7K.
Reporting directly to the COO, you'll lead a team of 4 Sales Managers handling around 15 Sales Executives and 25 seasonal employees, with full ownership of your team's recruitment and the whole Sales cycle.
Today, the Sales team drives 20% of the company's revenue, as 80% is product-led.
Your mission is clear: deliver the yearly expected revenue base while :
- Challenging the Sales approach we've had for the past 10 years - Managing potential geographical and segment expansion - Assessing where AI could be wisely introduced in our Sales cycle.
You'll shape the strategy, own the execution, and measure the impact.
What floats your boat
You will be responsible for the following:
- Defining and executing the human-led Sales strategy, from first contact to closing, to reach your revenue objective. Lead generation stays out of your scope. - Leading, mentoring, and growing a team of 4 Sales Managers, setting clear objectives aligned with company goals and building a culture of accountability, constant feedback, and raising the bar. - Ensuring the quality and delivery of recruitment by collaborating with the Talent Acquisition team. - Managing the Sales side of potential business expansion into new geographies like the U.S. or segments like luxury yachting. - Introducing AI into the dealflow when relevant. - Managing your P&L according to budget.
What you bring aboard
- 8+ years of experience in Sales, ideally in a B2C, e-commerce, or consumer tech environment. - 5+ years of experience managing a team and driving performance through coaching, prioritisation, and clear goal-setting. - A first experience of managing managers. - A doer and problem-solver with a massive bias for action, comfortable rolling up your sleeves and balancing the long-term view with short-term workarounds. - Data-obsessed and analytically rigorous: comfortable building and reading dashboards (Tableau or equivalent) to report on your line of business with accuracy. - Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to collaborate effectively with Tech, Marketing, and Business teams while minimising dependencies. - Full proficiency in English is required.
Bonus points (great to have, never a dealbreaker)
- Spanish or French. - Seasonal experience with scale-up/scale-down.
