OCTA is a growing clean‑energy business supporting industry clients with wind, solar and cleaner LNG solutions. We support our customers to improve sustainability outcomes, operational efficiency and long‑term performance. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a reliable and detail‑focused Accounts & Administration Officer to join our Perth CBD Head Office.

This role is ideal for an experienced accounts professional who enjoys variety, accuracy and working within a team oriented finance environment.

The Role

Reporting to the CFO and Group Accountant within a small but close-knit Finance Team, the Accounts & Administration Officer is responsible for accurate, timely and compliant financial processing across multiple entities. You will maintain the integrity of financial records, support month‑end activities and build strong working relationships with suppliers, employees, customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

  • Accurately process supplier invoices across multiple Xero entities with correct coding, GST treatment and allocation.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders, ensuring compliance with procurement workflows.
  • Manage non‑PO invoices and ensure timely approval routing.
  • Maintain accurate creditor records and complete supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Issue remittances and respond to supplier queries professionally.

Payroll

  • Processing payroll in Xero.
  • Collate and verify timesheets, allowances, overtime and expense reimbursements.
  • Perform data checks to ensure payroll inputs are accurate and compliant.
  • Support employees with payroll queries and assist with payroll reporting and reconciliations.

Accounts Receivable

  • Raise customer invoices in Xero with correct coding and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor debtor balances and follow up outstanding payments.
  • Work with operations teams to resolve billing discrepancies or missing documentation.

Administration

  • Provide general administrative support to the finance and operations teams as required.

Assist with systems & process improvement

  • Contribute to developing standard operating procedures across the group.

About You

You bring strong Accounts capability, excellent attention to detail and confidence working across multiple entities. You are organised, reliable and comfortable operating within structured approval workflows and compliance frameworks.

You will have:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in an Accounts Officer, AP/AR Officer or similar role.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Experience performing reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general financial systems.
  • Ability to work onsite at our Perth CBD office.
