About the role
Our Place Health Centre is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join our team in Gosnells, WA, for an immediate start. This is a part-time or full-time position that plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our health centre. As Practice Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our facility, overseeing administrative functions, staff coordination, and patient services.
This position is integral to delivering high-quality healthcare services and maintaining the operational excellence that defines Our Place Health Centre.
What you'll be doing
Managing all administrative operations and ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and policies
Overseeing staff recruitment, scheduling, training, and performance management
Managing patient appointments, records, and enquiries to ensure excellent patient experience
Maintaining financial records, managing budgets, and processing invoicing and payments
Liaising with healthcare practitioners and ensuring seamless coordination across the health centre
Implementing and monitoring quality assurance processes and health and safety protocols
Managing facility maintenance, equipment, and inventory ordering, including cleaning duties
Handling communications with patients, staff, and external stakeholders
Reporting on operational metrics and identifying opportunities for improvement
Supporting the clinical director with administrative duties as required
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Practice Manager or in a similar medical administration role within a healthcare setting
Strong knowledge of medical practice management systems and software (Best Practice BP premier) - highly desirable, as well as general computer literacy - essential.
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
Proficient in financial management, budgeting, and bookkeeping practices
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and patient cohorts, and be a strong ambassador for our brand and values.
Demonstrated leadership capability with experience managing, supporting, teaching, and motivating staff
A thorough understanding of healthcare privacy legislation, particularly Australian regulations
High level of attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to operational challenges
Relevant qualifications in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field are highly desirable, but not essential
