Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Review Company in New Rochelle, NY as a Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator. This contract/travel-based role is ideal for a nurse with regulatory, review, or investigation experience who is passionate about improving care standards in long-term care facilities.

Qualifications
- Active NYS RN license (required)
- At least 1 year of survey experience (required)
- One of the following:
- 2+ years of experience in utilization review, medical review, claims adjudication, fraud investigation, or surveillance
- 3 years of clinical or administrative nursing experience
- BSN and 2 years of relevant experience
- SMQT Certification preferred (or willing to obtain within 12 months)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to onsite review locations
Responsibilities
- Conduct surveys and complaint investigations at nursing homes (including abuse and neglect cases)
- Perform surveillance activities to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations
- Draft and submit Statements of Deficiencies (SOD) using Principles of Documentation
- Assess provider compliance with Plans of Correction
- Perform data entry in state and federal databases
- Attend required meetings and administrative hearings
- Follow Department of Health (DOH) and internal policies and schedules
- Travel to assigned locations per schedule
