Engineering Calculator / Stress Engineer

As part of the industrialization of the A220 aircraft program with our partner/client, the primary role of the "Structure Calculator" profile sought is to ensure that stress analysis, within its scope, complies with certification requirements for primary structure in static and fatigue. Knowledge of secondary structures and system installations is an asset. The structural calculator reports directly to the Calculation Team Manager and is responsible for:

• Ensuring that the technical scope is well respected according to client requirements, program needs, and manufacturing requirements.
• Participating in stress analyses of the primary and/or secondary structure within its scope.
• Supporting technical decision‑making related to primary structure stress analysis.
• Supporting technical decision‑making for fixed and mobile supports.

Preparing the main technical deliverables and ensuring the compliance of technical deliverables with Airbus Atlantic and client requirements; participating in the analysis and implementation.

Profil recherché

• Bachelor's/Master's (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in metallic primary structure stress analysis (skin/frames/stringers…).
• Knowledge of aeronautical calculation processes and methods (Airbus Atlantic, Bombardier, Airbus Canada Processes and Methods).
• Know how to use Catia (consultation), and have a good mastery of NASTRAN, PATRAN (use of existing models, extraction of forces/stresses…).
• VBA programming.
• Experience in calculating sheet metal and machined parts.
• Possesses good written and oral communication skills.
• Project management experience would be a plus.
• Languages: English (verbal and written) at technical level; French (verbal) for team meetings and social life within the company.
• Skills: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; possess good listening and interpersonal skills; enthusiastic by nature, enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment and finds unforeseen and urgent situations stimulating; possesses the ability to respond calmly and responsively while providing quality work.
