We are seeking to appoint a full-time Senior Manager, Health Economics & Market Access, Australia & New Zealand to join our Medical & Scientific Affairs team, based in either Melbourne or Sydney.
Reporting to the Director, Health Economics & Market Access, APAC, you will be accountable for leading all HEMA activities across Australia and New Zealand and ensuring the successful execution of reimbursement and funding strategies that support business growth and patient access.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the development and execution of market access, reimbursement and funding strategies across Australia and New Zealand.
- Own end-to-end reimbursement submissions and access activities, including engagement with MSAC, PBAC, MBS, Prescribed List and public and private payer systems.
- Translate healthcare policy developments, payer insights and health economic evidence into actionable access strategies and business recommendations.
- Drive advocacy activities and build trusted relationships with KOLs, healthcare professionals, policymakers, industry associations and reimbursement stakeholders.
- Collaborate with commercial, medical, regional and global teams to ensure market access strategies are embedded across product lifecycle planning and go-to-market execution.
- Apply Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and Real-World Evidence (RWE) to support evidence generation and access decision-making.
- Identify opportunities, risks and policy developments that may impact patient access, reimbursement and business performance.
- Represent Olympus in industry forums and advocacy initiatives, including engagement with organisations such as MTAA.

What we are looking for
You will consider yourself to be a strategic, commercially aware and highly influential market access professional with:
- 10+ years' experience within medical devices, pharmaceuticals or a related healthcare industry.
- Significant experience leading market access, reimbursement and funding activities within Australia.
- Strong knowledge of Australian reimbursement frameworks including MSAC, PBAC, MBS and the Prescribed List.
- Demonstrated experience applying HEOR, HTA and/or RWE to support access strategies and reimbursement outcomes.
- A proven track record of delivering successful reimbursement, funding and patient access outcomes.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence senior leaders, policymakers, payers and external partners.
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate complex clinical and economic evidence into clear strategic recommendations.
- Experience working effectively within regional and global matrix organisations.
- A Bachelor's degree in Health Economics, Life Sciences, Public Health, Economics, Business or a related discipline. Advanced qualifications will be highly regarded.
