The RoleAn opportunity has become available for a Library Technician to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.You willAssist staff and stakeholders with specialist information enquiries and access to specialist information resources and servicesSupport the specialist literature research service as requiredSupport library book collection (print and electronic) and manage various technical servicesReport on all aspects of technical services and document supply to the Manager Library ServicesAbout youTo be successful in this position you will require:Diploma for Library Technicians or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution providing eligibility for Library Technician Membership of the Australian Library and Information Association.Previous experience in a health library environment and Queensland Government Procurement processes and systems would be highly regarded.Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosedCriminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)BenefitsFlexible work optionsCareer DevelopmentSalary PackagingModern FacilitiesDiverse Work CultureResearch Opportunities12.75% super17.5% leave loadingSalaryPermanent part time (38 hours per fortnight)Base salary ranging from $47.18 - $51.10 per hourAbout UsThe Strategy, Transformation, Research, Infrastructure, Digital + excellence (STRIDe) Division has been established to bring together several vital functions that collectively define, design, and enhance the delivery and sustainability of our most significant service improvement and digital transformation opportunities.The Research unit provides a focal point for research, including clinical trials, and supports a diverse range of research program across the Gold Coast. The unit works in close collaboration with GCHHS workforce and external stakeholders, including Bond University, Griffith University, and Southern Cross University, as well as national and international institutions. The unit supports GCHHS staff to undertake high-quality research through providing research governance, compliance, and development opportunities that build research capabilities across the organisation.
