The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Management Accountant to join a collaborative Finance team. Working closely with Executives and departmental leaders, you will act as a trusted financial partner, delivering high-quality management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial advice. This is a highly visible role where you'll influence decision-making, improve financial performance and support the successful delivery of organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business units to develop and manage operational budgets
- Deliver monthly management reports, variance analysis and financial commentary
- Prepare financial forecasts and performance projections
- Provide strategic financial advice to senior leaders
- Support annual budget preparation and reporting processes
- Monitor project and operational financial performance
- Prepare reconciliations, journal entries and funding compliance reporting
- Build strong relationships across the organisation to improve financial outcomes
About You
- Degree qualifications in Accounting, Business or Commerce
- CPA or CA qualifications, or working towards accreditation, will be highly regarded
- Experience in management accounting, budgeting and financial analysis
- Strong financial modelling and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non‑financial stakeholders
- Experience providing strategic financial advice to managers and executive teams
- Ability to manage competing priorities while working independently
- Experience with TechnologyOne or similar ERP systems will be highly regarded
- An understanding of working with culturally diverse communities will be well regarded
